Robert is the founder and director of ‘Born Like Others’. He serves as a Behavioural Change Communicator and Life Skills trainer. He is focused on addressing and combating social issues concerning vulnerable and needy children. He is determined to work hard, dream big and serve selflessly to raise the next generation of leaders by engaging, equipping and mentoring children and youth in Uganda. Robert’s key responsibilities are overseeing the operations of the organisation. Management of staff and service providers. Making recommendations for children who meet our admission criteria. Overseeing the children and assuring the best standards are kept. Front line person in coordinating with volunteers, sponsors and fundraising programs for the organisation.

Tom Amanya is married to Victoria, with one son Joshua. He has a degree in Social Sciences with a major in Public Administration and a diploma in Theology. He has been in Ministry for over 15 years, carrying out pastoral work, crusades and conferences. He is currently a senior Pastor of ‘Truth Assembly’ church in Kampala and sits on a number of different organisations board. We are grateful for the skills and experience he brings particularly in designing organisational policies and providing implementational leadership. He is also a great asset to us in term in terms of helping the organisation with it’s spiritual direction.
Rachael has extensive experience with charities such as ours. She is a behavioural change communicator, mentor and motivator and she uses these skills to support or secondary school children to help them find direction. She is passionate about leadership, youth, family life and engaging young people in God’s word. She is an amazing gift to the young people with a great experience of working with different organisations in Uganda and a real asset to the board.
